What is an ATXBlade™ cluster server?
ATXBlade™ cluster servers
are ultra-high density server nodes that consists of 10 independent
blade servers. Each ATXBlade server is an independent server
complete with its own central processing unit, memory, power
source, video controller, network controller, data storage, and
operating system. A complete ATXBlade cluster server consists
of the ATXBlade carrier housing with 10 ATXBlade servers.
The ATXBlade™ cluster server
uses standard ATX and micro ATX architecture and is certified
for most Intel Pentium 4 and Intel Xeon motherboards. This setup
gives us the huge cost saving over proprietary motherboards used
by other blade server vendors. Besides blade systems, our ATXBlade™ servers
are excellent alternative replacement for traditional 1U rackmount
servers. Compares with 1U rackmount servers, you can install
2 additional servers with in the same 8U rack space enclosure.
In addition, for the same system configuration, our ATXBlade™ servers
are at least 20% to 30% cheaper then 10 units of 1U Intel Pentium
4 2.66 Ghz systems.
